I loved being around this great family… so much energy and joy! The light was just incredible and I love the way the boys look like they are in Neverland with the light shining through the trees… so lovely. And this gorgeous mama? Stunning.

Well maybe I am biased, but this little boy is one of my very best friends under 5 years old. I watched him a few hours a week last year and just fell in love! He is the smartest, funniest, most creative little guy I have ever witnessed (and my hubby almost got jealous btw, ha!). Here is a sneak peak from his family session with more to come (including his gorgeous baby sister). And because I can’t resist, here are my favorite moments with Cooper:
-The time I came over to play and he was on the couch and said, “Sorry Meg, I’m busy right now.”
-When we play catch the skunk around his house (imaginary of course!)
-His funny phase where he would all of a sudden say, “Don’t change the subject (pronounced sujict)!!”

Natural Beauty | Pregnancy Session

Can you believe that this session was the gorgeous mama’s first professional photo shoot? Me neither. Both of these lovelies are natural beauties and natural models! We had so much fun walking around and finding sweet photo spots together. The light was unbelievable and the air a bit chilly, but these photos just say it all…. this session literally melts my heart. I love it!

Walking on Sunshine

I met this little one when he wasn’t even born yet! I have had the joy of following this family from pregnancy to birth and now to over one year old. He was one of the most beautiful newborns… and now he is delightful and was making us all laugh! At the end he was getting a bit hungry and when dad brought out the pretzel box he got the greatest expression on his face (last photo). Just adorable I think.

Coming Monday… the Zoo PEP portraits!

Here is a sneak peek of the PEP Zoo portraits! I had so much fun meeting such great parents and babies for this mini photo session. We had one sleeping baby and one who was having a hard day, not bad out of 12! Also I want to pre-announce an upcoming photo workshop for moms that I will be doing in March. I don’t have words for this incredible session with cupcake mastermind Amber (owner of Enjoy Cupcakes). Her little Opal was such a delight right from the start! She asked me lots of questions about my camera and LOVED my step stool… This was on location at the Saarloos & Sons Winery, a gorgeous piece of property north of Santa Ynez. These last images show true love more than I have yet seen… I hope you fall in love with these two as much as I have!

This family lives on a beautiful country haven of avocados, oranges, lavender and lemons… with a friendly black lab and an ambitious Maine Coon cat (who missed us so much when we went outside that he climbed the screen door all the way to the top and hung there meowing!). I must admit though, these sweet 2 yr old smiles were tricky to get… but don’t they just melt your heart? And breathtaking Meritt holding on to daddy’s finger… can’t get enough of this family! There is a whole bit by the Christmas tree too! Wish I could blog everything… maybe one day!

Oh how exciting about a workshop… I love your work, how you use the sun in your photos, if only I had a beach to use for photos. But I have sun and I look forward to seeing what your workshop is all about.
