ella enchanted

My precious Ella Chanel Sandu was born on Friday, August 27th at 7:37am. She weighed 9 lbs 6 oz and is 21 inches long. Due to some complications we had to remain at the hospital for the last week, but are home and happy now. We are enchanted by her sweet and soft countenance and are completely in love. I can’t wait to share more with you! Thank you for your prayers and wishes.

Just a little Friday update… still waiting for my beautiful baby girl (I was born a week late, so she’s not too far behind!). Hoping to have an announcement by the end of the weekend! In the meantime, enjoy this little cast iron fish that I fell in love with a few weeks ago… a sweet friend went back and surprised me with it for my birthday. I love it. Cheers!

I was so excited to see this gorgeous wall gallery of prints from one of my newborn sessions in her perfectly pink nursery! This is also a little preview of a new area on my website for wall art… coming soon. And so I have been drooling over my own walls, waiting for all the canvases that will fill the house with Ella. Today is un-officially her due date… because officially, she will come when she is ready. Had fun with the ‘shock’ reactions of people seeing me out and about yesterday and finding out I was due in one day! Well the day is finally here and I think I need some cake to celebrate. Cheers!

Awww I love this. So sweet. We brought our album home to show our parents this past weekend. My Dad’s girlfriend was in tears. They all thought it was soooo beautiful. Thanks again Meg for such an amazing job. We couldn’t be happier with turnout.
I’m sending good vibes your way and hope that Ella will make her debut very very soon. Can’t wait to see her little face.

Maybe you have noticed a change on my blog and website… or maybe you have just noticed a change in my shape! Well I turned 28 today and I am almost 39 weeks pregnant with my sweet baby girl Ella, due August 13th. Because I need some mommy time with her and the hubby, I will be taking August off completely and part of September. I plan to return to work the middle of September to catch a few pregnant mommies who will be picture perfect at that time. Starting this fall, I will only be booking sessions for pregnancy and newborns. This means I will only book a Holiday portrait for a family that is either expecting or just had a little one. I am so excited for this new season and can’t wait to meet brand new families in the fall. I also can’t wait to announce our birth story and will let you know as soon as my baby girl arrives (with photos too of course!).

Simplicity and 9 Days

Maybe it’s the excess of things in my office/Ella’s nursery or maybe just a change in the wind… but I am feeling the need to simplify lately. Not necessarily clean or organize or re-arrange. Just wanting to make things more simple. Life more simple. And at the same time, counting down the beautiful last days of my baby girl who is so precious in my belly…

Everything Ella | Her baby nursery photos

After a gorgeous baby shower, Ella just about has everything she needs to arrive in our arms. This is her nursery, which I have updated only with a few wooden clothes pins in exchange for the silver paperclips of all the cards! Anyway, it’s lovely and it is now my favorite room. I can’t wait to put up some of the pregnancy photos (coming Friday!) in the room as well. She is well loved already…

Meg, wow Ella is precious. What a perfect gift from the Lord. We’ve never met but I do believe we go to the same church. Anyhow I so enjoy admiring the work you do and all of these sweet little ones-they bring joy to any day.
