March Giveaway WINNER ANNOUNCED

April 5, 2010

I loved reading all your comments about your favorite books and guesses on our baby! As you have read we are having a baby girl, Ella. Because I own and love two of these, the winner is receiving a vintage edition of one of the original Winnie the Pooh series.

The winner is by random drawing: Jen S, a fellow photographer who by the way guessed correctly on my baby girl. Congratulations!

What a fun contest! I think my favorite was Janette Sebring Lowrey’s The Poky Little Puppy (Golden, 1942). I’m sure I had others but this one comes to mind.

Children’s Book Month | Week One

March 4, 2010

It’s Children’s Book month on my blog for March. Why? Because I LOVE children’s books! I can’t wait to read books to our little munch. Each week I will showcase one of my favorite children’s books, this week it is Blueberries for Sal, a classic. My mom loves blueberries, which is probably why she read this to me so much, but now it is a favorite. If you haven’t read it, grab a used copy on amazon an enjoy!

Also coming up this month is a GIVEAWAY, Workshop details and some great new resources for prego mamas!

I loved that book when I was little! And there was another one by the same guy about a little girl that lost her tooth while digging for clams in Maine… can’t remember the name, but I liked that one, too. :)

Mama Love | Full Sneak Peak Newborn Session

January 25, 2010

This newborn session was done outside at a lake in Santa Barbara county… absolutely beautiful day and such a creamy newborn! He was so good the whole time, almost posing himself for these amazing photos. I always am delighted when I can catch a newborn smile and yawn… they are tricky and happen almost like a twitch during a dream. I loved that this mama was not afraid to take her newborn session into the gorgeous outdoors. This mama is also a recipient of a COMPLIMENTARY Obrien & Schridde frame in my January giveaway!

Giveaway and Contest Winners!

October 5, 2009

ShannonPregnancy

Thank you for all your sweet comments, e-mails and entries! I am so blessed. It was very difficult to choose, but I feel that the best entry definitely won (remember you had to post on my FACEBOOK and e-mail me!).

For the gorgeous Obrien & Schridde frame the winner is Tiffany. Check out her sweet blog and send some love! Congratulations, e-mail me which color you would like and your address to ship!

For the FREE session the winner is Amber and her beautiful reason is below:

“My 2 year old, Opal, & I selected our favorite photo together. Opal likes the baby and the photo reminds me of the intimate, special adoration that’s born along with our babies. The adoration and love grows, but that initial newborn thrill & bliss sometimes slips from my mind and this photo brings the feeling back to the forefront of my thoughts. Aside from how the image makes me feel, I love the mom’s angelic, glowing hair, the artistic addition of the feathers, the intensity in the mom’s eyes and the dependency of the little one. I would love to have a session with you because I love my daughter beyond words and I know from your photos that you can somehow capture that love through your lens.”

And because I am sporting a NEW blog and can’t post without a photo, here is a sneak peak of a pregnancy couture session this weekend!
