White Christmas
December 23, 2009
I took this photo in Jacksonville, OR on our trip a few weeks ago. It just makes me breathe and dream about a white Christmas. When I was growing up in Colorado we had HUGE snow storms that made the holidays so memorable. Being in Southern California in the 75 degree weather puts a bit of a damper on furry coats, snow-bitten cheeks and warmth from an apple pie in the oven. Nonetheless, our Christmas will be perfectly sweet as I will spend it with my favorite person in the whole world… my adoring hubby! Have a Merry Christmas and I will be back on Monday!

I’m impressed with this nice site. My readers enjoy your information also. I’m feeling pregnancy symptoms now and I hope they’re positive.
True Love | Sneak Peek, Santa Ynez CA
December 21, 2009
I don’t have words for this incredible session with cupcake mastermind Amber (owner of Enjoy Cupcakes). Her little Opal was such a delight right from the start! She asked me lots of questions about my camera and LOVED my step stool… This was on location at the Saarloos & Sons Winery, a gorgeous piece of property north of Santa Ynez. These last images show true love more than I have yet seen… I hope you fall in love with these two as much as I have!

Blissful Obsession | Succulents
December 19, 2009
Well, recently I have become obsessed with succulents. We just moved to a little studio in Ventura by the beach and I thought our porch needed a bit of color… so off to the Nursery we went! Needless to say… threes a charmer but maybe our porch will fit another pot…? I also potted a Chinese Evergreen tree for inside, apparently they are the best at purifying the air. Born of two amazing gardeners, I was wondering when my green thumb would arrive… blissfully, it has.

I just started following your portraiture, and this might be the most exquisite picture I’ve ever seen. So pure, simple and joyous. Thanks for posting it.

Country Haven | Family Session, Goleta CA
December 15, 2009
This family lives on a beautiful country haven of avocados, oranges, lavender and lemons… with a friendly black lab and an ambitious Maine Coon cat (who missed us so much when we went outside that he climbed the screen door all the way to the top and hung there meowing!). I must admit though, these sweet 2 yr old smiles were tricky to get… but don’t they just melt your heart? And breathtaking Meritt holding on to daddy’s finger… can’t get enough of this family! There is a whole bit by the Christmas tree too! Wish I could blog everything… maybe one day!

Jacksonville, OR | Adventure
December 10, 2009
Besides having our car break down on our way home, we did have some great time with family and friends. Jacksonville was the first stop and I took these in the morning on our walk for coffee. It was so incredibly beautiful I wished I had a gorgeous pregnancy session that morning!! Being in the cold crisp air finally got me in the feeling of winter and I love it. We also saw a deer and that incredible spider web (spider was IN the web, you can’t really see it but it was huge!). Also my hubby took those sweet snaps of yours truly… I wanted him to pose there for me because of the colors and he refused, so I got to do it (the coat is borrowed.. because apparently California girls don’t dress warm enough.. lol, made me feel like a school girl!). The last one is my favorite, I ADORE moss.
